Innovating Fisheries: MARELEC's grading solutions transforming onshore and ship operations.

From pioneering installations to enhanced production: find our how MARELEC's graders revolutionized fish processing on the Vessel Ramoen.

MARELEC has been at the forefront of designing, manufacturing, and maintaining fish graders for both onshore and ship applications for decades. Whether it's whole fish graders, H&G, or fillets, MARELEC ensures an optimal solution for every product. Norway, a pioneer in Europe for innovative onboard solutions, saw the installation of the first MARELEC grader for H&G fish on the Vessel Ramoen in 2006. Scala Norway, in collaboration with MARELEC, successfully implemented the first grader, leading MV Ramoen to be dubbed the 'moneymaker' due to its successful fishing and processing activities. In 2016, the new state-of-the-art 75-meter vessel Ramoen was launched, utilizing MARELEC marine graders for fillets and whole fish on its processing deck.

Impressed by the robustness, accuracy, stability in rough seas, and low maintenance of MARELEC graders, Ramoen decided to increase production capacity after experiencing a good market for fish fillets. Recognizing the efficiency of the graders, Ramoen effortlessly chose to acquire two more state-of-the-art dual-lane grading systems. The H&G dual lane employs the Intelligent Vision system, automatically recognizing fish species and directing them to the appropriate fish tank.

Due to this the crew is able to benefit from reduced human errors and increased throughput. The new dual-lane fillet grader features 14 batching bins, batch takeaway conveyors, and two integrated packing stations. This configuration allows Ramoen to uphold its position as an innovative and efficient harvest processor.
